.6.1. income-tax-straight.info Straight-Line Income Taxing System

The Straight-Line Income Taxing System

.0. When the tax rates are plotted on the y-axis and incomes are plotted on the x-axis, then 2 straight lines are generated.

.0. There is only one class of taxpayer. There is not one rate scale for Single; another for Married, filing jointly; another for Married, filing separately; and another for Head of a household.

.0. All sources of wealth are taxed the same. There is not one rate scale for wealth received from working, and another rate scale for wealth received from not working (selling something for more than you paid for it, or someone else using your money).

.0. Under this system, 95 million returns will pay less taxes, and 1 million returns will pay more taxes.

.0. This system produces as much revenue as does the current income taxing system - from the Tax Returns that were submitted. Many more people will be required to submit Tax Returns - very few wealth-receiving people will be exempt from filing a Tax Return. Therefore, this system will produce more revenue.

.0. This is a true Fair Tax.
